Missouri graduate schools awarded over 1964 graduate degrees from 48 colleges in 2008-2009. Saint Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, Columbia and Parkville have the greatest number of graduate schools in Missouri. Popular graduate degree programs include Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Masters in Nursing (MSN) and Masters in Public Health (MPH).

There are 32 business schools in Missouri that offer MBA programs. There are many types of MBA degrees including an MBA in Accounting, Economics, Entrepreneurial Management, Finance, Marketing, Operations and Technology Management. In addition to traditional Missouri business schools, students may now access graduate programs online. This is particularly important for students who do not have access to a program locally.
