Nebraska graduate schools awarded over 841 graduate degrees from 19 colleges in 2008-2009. Omaha, Lincoln, Peru, Wayne and Kearney have the greatest number of graduate schools in Nebraska. Popular graduate degree programs include Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Masters in Nursing (MSN) and Masters in Public Health (MPH).

There are 16 business schools in Nebraska that offer MBA programs. There are many types of MBA degrees including an MBA in Accounting, Economics, Entrepreneurial Management, Finance, Marketing, Operations and Technology Management. In addition to traditional Nebraska business schools, students may now access graduate programs online. This is particularly important for students who do not have access to a program locally.
