Introduction to Eastampton, New Jersey
Eastampton was originally inhabited by the Delaware Native Americans, who called the area Alumhatta. Henry Stacy was the first official owner of the area. On March 9, 1880, Eastampton was incorporated as a township, with the land coming from Westampton Township.
