Endwell History
Endwell was known as Hooper until 1921. The name was eventually changed to Endwell, however, as there were several other locations of the same name in New York. The community was named after the Endwell shoes produced by the Endicott Johnson Corporation. The area was first settled in by Europeans in 1782.
