Westmere History

Westmere is situated in the Town of Guilderland, which was a Dutch colony in the 17th century. Guilderland, which was established in 1803 from a portion of Town of Watervliet, supplied ammunition and fuel during the Second World War. It was fragmented in its loyalties at the time of the American Revolution.
