Hope Mills, North Carolina, in Cumberland county, is 6 miles SW of Fayetteville, North Carolina (center to center) and 58 miles S of Raleigh, North Carolina.The people of the town are in the Fayetteville metropolitan area.

Hope Mills History

Hope Mills was settled in the late 1760s. By 1766, the town has a saw mill, lumber camp, grist mill, and pottery business. The area's first cotton mill was constructed in 1839. In fact, the town was named after the cotton milling industry. The town was originally known as Little Rockfish Village. Later on, the name was changed to Hope Mills Number One. The town was incorporated in 1891.

The water park has Tarzan and Trapeze Swings, water slides, picnic areas, boating facilities, and beautiful white sand beaches. Children will enjoy the Fantasy Land for Kids which has smaller water slides, tarzan and infant swings, cable zip lines, and a shaded bench area. The town also has a number of houses of worship including Hope Mills Presbyterian Church and Big Rockfish Presbyterian Church.
