Soddy Daisy History
Soddy Daisy was initially two separate coal towns, known as Soddy and Daisy. Soddy was named after William Sodder, who operated a trade post in the area, and Daisy was named honoring Daisy Parks, the daughter of a coal company manager. The City of Soddy Daisy was established in 1969.
