Verona History
Verona is located in Dane County, which was founded in 1839 and named in honor of Nathan Dane. Dane was a delegate of the Congress of the Confederation from Massachusetts and helped carve the State of Wisconsin from the Northwest Territory. The city was named after Verona, New York.
