The Arizona School of Massage Therapy (ASMT) is a provider of professional massage therapy training programs. With more than 30 years of massage therapy training experience, ASMT has two Arizona campuses located in Tempe and Phoenix. Owned by the Steiner Education Group, a subsidiary of global spa and salon provider Steiner Leisure Limited, students are recruited directly to join one of the company salons upon certification. Full-time and part-time study tracks are available. Students will be eligible to take either the National Certification Exam or the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Exam upon completion of the program.
The Nevada School of Massage Therapy is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET).
The faculty at ASMT are experienced professionals with a knowledge of massage therapy. Instructors are ready and willing to help with the academic needs of their students. Curriculum includes classroom based learning as well as hands-on experiences in student clinics. Instruction in shiatsu, structural bodywork, trigger point therapy, sports massage, acupressure, and cranial sacral therapy is given.
The Arizona School of Massage Therapy is a commuter school and does not offer on-campus housing. However, the school does have Relocation Specialists available to help students find area housing accommodations. Under full-time study, students can complete the program in as little as 7 ½ months. Part-time participants complete the program in 12 months. In addition to massage therapy skills training, instruction in basic business techniques, legal concerns, and human anatomy and physiology is also given. Global spa and salon provider Steiner Leisure Limited is the parent company for ASMT. Steiner actively recruits ASMT graduates for employment at their more than 200 worldwide locations.
