Barry University

Founded in 1940, Barry University is a private Catholic university situated in Miami Shores, Florida. It is part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. U.S. News & World Report ranked the academic quality of Barry University as one of the strongest in South Florida in its 2005 Edition of America's Best Colleges.

The university offers more than 60 traditional undergraduate programs, accelerated bachelor's programs designed specifically for working adults and more than 50 graduate programs. The university is known for its nursing, health sciences, business, teacher education, and liberal arts programs.

Barry University became a member of the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) in June 1988. Barry has won six NCAA championships, three of which in women's soccer and two in volleyball.
