Bastyr University is a non-profit, private university. The university was established in 1978 as the John Bastyr College of Naturopathic Medicine. It is situated in Kenmore, Washington, United States. The university offers undergraduate, graduate, research, and professional programs in various areas of herbal medicine and nutrition. Naturopathic medicine, oriental medicine, clinical health psychology, exercise science, and nutrition are some of the subjects in which degrees are offered.

Financial aid is provided to students at Bastyr University. Deserving and eligible candidates can avail loans, grants, and scholarships. Bastyr University runs the Bastyr Center for Natural Health which is a natural medicine clinic. The clinic is located in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle. Patients with varied types of health conditions are provided naturopathic medicine, nutritional counseling, and acupuncture at the clinic.
