California Institute of Integral Studies, CIIS, is a private four-year institution in San Francisco, California that was established in 1968. It offers programs at the certificate, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degree levels in areas like clinical and counseling psychology, and transformative leadership. The schools through which these programs are offered are as follows:

  • School of Consciousness and Transformation
  • School of Professional Psychology
  • School of Undergraduate Studies

CIIS has more than ten student groups including the Integral Dialogue Group, the People of Color Group, Theatre for Change, CIIS Urban Permaculturists, the Zen Meditation Group, and Queer@CIIS Group. Eligible students are given grants, scholarships, and loans as financial aid. International students of CIIS are eligible for non federal work study programs. The institute runs five counseling centers manned by students of the institute.
