Carlos Albizu University, which was founded in 1966 by Carlos Albizu-Miranda, was originally located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Carlos Albizu University -Miami Campus, also known as CAU-Miami, was established in 1980 and is situated on 18 acres in Miami, Florida. The student body has representatives from over 40 countries around the world.
CAU-Miami awards the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Business Administration, Master of Science, and Master of Business Administration degrees. Students can choose from disciplines like elementary education, industrial and organizational psychology, marriage and family therapy, school counseling, and mental health counseling. In addition, the university offers the Doctor of Psychology degree in clinical psychology. Certificate programs in English for Speakers of Other Languages are also available.
Students of CAU-Miami are involved in various on-campus clubs and organizations including Phi Beta Lambda, Nu Sigma Psi, Student Council, FPAGS - CAU chapter, and APAGS - CAU chapter. The university also offers financial aid to deserving candidates. Students can apply for loans, grants, work study programs, and scholarships like the Albizu Scholarship, and Undergraduate Merit Scholarship.
