Central Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim or 'supporters of the pure ones' was founded in 1896 in Lubavitch by Rabbi Sholom Dovber Schneersohn. It is housed in the Lubavitch World Headquarters and has branches all over the world, one of which is in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Other branches are located in Australia, Israel, England, South Africa and Canada.
Central Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim is part of the Chabad-Lubavitch Hasidic movement and is dedicated to teaching the Hasidic philosophy following the Chabad tradition. The Brooklyn branch offers bachelor's and master's level programs in Talmudic Studies. After graduating, a number of students continue working for the Chabad in the Chabad Houses or in education as schluchim.
