Denmark Technical College

Denmark Technical College, or DTC, was established in 1947, and officially began its operation on March 1, 1948. It was initially known as the Denmark Area Trade School, until its name was changed to Denmark Technical Education Center in 1969. It finally came to be known as the Denmark Technical College in 1979. DTC is situated in Denmark, South Carolina.

Students of DTC are offered associate's degrees in the fields of computer technology, criminal justice, electronics, human services, early care and education, and electromechanical engineering. Apart from this, various one-year diplomas and technical certificate programs are also available.

The sports teams of Denmark Technical College are known as the Panthers. The athletics department of the college sponsors both men's and women's teams in basketball and softball. Students are also involved in clubs and organizations such as the Student Government Association.
