The Kent State University - Salem Campus is one of the campuses of the Kent State University which was founded in 1910. The operations for the Salem Campus of the university started at the old Salem High School in 1962. It later moved to its present location in Salem, Ohio, in 1971. The Kent State University - Salem Campus confers baccalaureate and associate's degrees to the students. It also offers various certificate programs.
The students of Kent State University - Salem Campus are associated with a number of clubs and organizations including the Student Government Organization, Honors Club, Horticulture Club, Nursing Club, Human Services Technology Club, and Radiologic Technology Club.
