Although the college name has changed, it still offers computer science programs, as its predecessor did. However, the school has added career programs in other areas such as health care, graphic design, and business management.
There are certain baseline requirements that must be met in order to be accepted. Applicants pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree need to submit evidence of a diploma from high school or an acceptable score on the GED or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE). Other requirements may apply.
Meeting the financial obligations of attending college is a necessary ingredient of a successful college experience, regardless of where a student decides to attend. LA College International participates in federal and other aid programs for the benefit of students who qualify. The school has a financial aid team to help students manage the aid process.
Professors and instructors at the college are well-educated, many with advanced degrees in their chosen fields. They also possess relevant professional experience bringing a more practical view of the subject matter to the classrooms and laboratories.
Some may find it appealing that the school's enrollment is relatively small, so more individualized attention is available for each student. The school has roughly equal numbers of men and women attending. Hispanics represent the largest ethnic element of the student population.
Studying in the heart of Los Angeles provides students with access to one of most exciting cities in the United States.
