The main campus of Lenape Nursing is in Kittanning, PA (a rural site not far from an urban area). The school is a public school. Lenape Nursing offers degrees up to the Certificate.
The school students most commonly major in a field related to nursing and emergency medicine.
Lenape Nursing does not accept everyone who applies.
In 2007-2008, the school had 111 enrolled students. Older students (40+ years old, e.g.) are welcome and common at Lenape Nursing.
The school reports its educational mission is:
"We believe the mission of vocational-technical education is to provide its students with learning experiences that produce skills for employment upon completion of the program. Vocational-technical education develops behavioral changes within the individual, enabling that student to enter the occupational field with competent entry level performance. Since practical nursing is considered technical nursing, a vocational-technical school is the logical site for practical nursing education."
