Marian College of Fond du Lac was established on Septembe 8, 1936. It was renamed to Marian University on May 1, 2008. The university grants bachelor degrees in diverse areas of study. It also offers master degrees and doctorate degrees. The college sprawls over an area of 100 acres. Marian is organized into the following academic divisions:

  • School of Math and Natural Science

  • School of Social and Behavioral Science

Marian College of Fond du Lac offers several intramural sports including men's and women's basketball and baseball teams. Students participate in sports such as golf, hockey, soccer, tennis, volleyball, and softball. The college's athletic teams are members of the NAA and the NCAA.
