Miami Dade College, also referred to as Miami Dade, is a public college with its main campus in Miami, Florida. It was founded in 1959. The college has seven other campuses situated throughout Miami-Dade County in Florida and it enrolls more than 164,000 students every year. The sports teams of Miami Dade College are known as the Sharks. Some of the graduates of Miami Dade have gone on to become famous personalities. Among them are Victoria Principal, actress; Luis Gispert, sculptor and photographer; Pedro Gomez, ESPN reporter; and Hannia Guillen, soap opera actor.
