New York Institute Of Technology Old Westbury

New York Institute of Technology was established in 1955. It is a private, co-educational college, with a main campus in Old Westbury, New York. This campus is the largest not only in terms of area, but also in terms of student population. Students here can enroll in any of the undergraduate, graduate, or professional/doctoral degree programs in architecture and design, arts, science, engineering, management, healthcare, and general education. The main campus also houses NYIT's medical school, the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.

New York Tech's athletics teams are called the Bears, and the team colors are gold and blue. The sports offered are men's lacrosse, men's and women's basketball, soccer, softball, cross-country, and track, and women's volleyball. The Bears have won a number of national championships in lacrosse.
