Northeast Mississippi Community College is located in Booneville, Mississippi, United States. It was founded in the year 1948 as Northeast Mississippi Junior College. It received its current name in 1987. The college offers classes in extension centers in Corinth and New Albany. More than 6,000 students enroll in Northeast Mississippi Community College every year.
Students are offered a wide variety of degrees in the fields of arts, business technology, computer services, engineering technology, health sciences, mathematics, science, music, and social and behavioral science. Students can also opt for distance learning courses. The college also provides facilities for continuing education.
Students of Northeast Mississippi Community College are members of Greek societies including Phi Theta Kappa, and Delta Epsilon Chi. They also participate in sports such as football, baseball, golf, tennis, softball, and basketball. The men's and women's teams are known as the Tigers.
