Otero Junior College, popularly referred to as OJC, is located in La Junta, Colorado. Established in 1941, it is a public, community college. Otero Junior College offers associate's degrees and certificates in diverse areas of study. Students can opt for programs in history, political science, psychology, microcomputer operations, pre-law, massage therapy, and liberal arts.

The athletics teams of Otero Junior College are known as the Rattlers. The students participate in sports including baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, and golf. The athletics department of OJC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association. The college also sponsors several on-campus clubs and organizations such as the Alpine Club, Science Club, International Relations Organization, Ecology Club, and Phi Theta Kappa.
