Philander Smith College

Philander Smith College, PSC, was established as Walden Seminary in 1877 and was renamed Philander Smith College in 1882. PSC is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The campus of this private, historically black college is situated in Little Rock, Arkansas. PSC offers a wide variety of programs through the following academic divisions:

The athletics department of Philander Smith College is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, and the Association of Independent Institutions. The teams are nicknamed the Panthers, and they participate in basketball, and volleyball.
