The Advanced Technology Institute (ATI) is a propriety technical school in Virginia Beach, Virginia. They specialize in training for many automotive professions as well as offering commercial driving and diesel/heavy vehicle training. The Advanced Technology Institute also offers programs in HVAC and maritime welding. Part of the Hampton Roads community, the school offers the full experience of college along with accredited training for today's most in demand technical jobs.
The Advanced Technology Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and is licensed by the State of Virginia. The Automotive Technology Program is ASE and Master NATEF Certified.
All of the instructors at the Advanced Technology Institute have professional experience in the field they are teaching. Students will be taught the practical aspects and skills required in their chosen career fields. Classroom instruction is combined with hands-on training in the schools lab and workshop facilities in order to ready students for the job market. Enrolled students will hone their skills on modern, industry-standard tools and equipment.
Students attending the Advanced Technology Institute are career and goal oriented people who are looking to enhance their skills or start new careers from scratch. Many students choose to move to Virginia Beach in order to attend the school or commute from home. For those who wish, student housing is available but not required. All student housing apartments are located off-campus and are composed of two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The apartments are furnished to house four students. Some academic programs require either a Virginia driver's license or the ability to obtain one. While there are no on-campus activities hosted by the school, the city of Virginia Beach provides an abundance of popular attractions, night-life clubs, bars and restaurants.
