Southwest Institute of Healing Arts was founded in 1992 by Brian and K.C. Miller. It was initially known as the Southwest Institute of Myotherapy. In the year 1995, the name of the institute was changed to Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. It is located in Tempe, Arizona, and is also known as SWIHA. Southwest Institute of Healing Arts offers certificates, diplomas, and degree programs in a number of areas including massage therapy, holistic nutrition, hypnotherapy, reflexology, and yoga teacher training. Certain courses are also conducted online.
The students at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts are involved in organizations like the Together Everyone Achieves More (T.E.A.M.), and Emerging Healers. In addition, the institute offers financial aid in the form of loans and Pell Grants. Besides, the students are also offered placement assistance after the successful completion of their courses.
