University Of Maine At Farmington

The University of Maine at Farmington, also known as UMF, is a public college of liberal arts located in Farmington, Maine, United States. It was established in the year 1864. It is one of the founding members of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges. UMF has been awarded one of the top ranks among the 'liberal arts schools' by U.S. News & World Report for ten consecutive years (1998-2008). The university offers major degrees in the fields of arts, science, and general studies. In addition, several minor degrees are also offered. UMF is organized into the following academic divisions:

The University Of Maine At Farmington's athletics department fields a wide variety of men's and women's sports teams. They compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) division III and the North Atlantic Conference. They are nicknamed the Beavers. The Beavers participate in sports such as basketball, field hockey, soccer, and cross country, among others.
