University of New Mexico Valencia County Branch, also known as UNM Valencia, is a branch campus of the University of New Mexico. It was originally established as the UNM-Eastern Valencia County Satellite Center in August, 1978. In March, 1981, it became a branch college of UNM. UNM Valencia is situated in Los Lunas, New Mexico.
UNM Valencia awards the Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of Applied Science degrees, as well as a number of certificate programs. Courses are available in the fields of business administration, education, liberal arts, general science, construction technology, medical sciences, health education, and information technology, among others.
Students of UNM Valencia are involved in various clubs and organizations like Phi Theta Kappa, Student Government, and the Student Association for Disability Awareness. Support services like academic and career counseling, job skills preparation, and job placement assistance are also provided. In addition, eligible candidates can apply for financial assistance through programs like federal grants, loans, and merit-based and need-based scholarships.
