The University of Washington Tacoma, also known as UW Tacoma or UWT, was established in 1990, and is a public university and is located in Tacoma, Washington, USA. UW Tacoma offers a number of bachelor's and master's degrees in various subjects including interdisciplinary studies, general education, arts, and science. A number of certification courses are also available. The university is organized into the following academic divisions:
UW Tacoma has an active student life and is home to several registered student organizations. A few of the active clubs and organizations in the campus are Women in Computing Science (WiCS), Queer-Straight Alliance (QSA), Muslim Student Association (MSA), and the Soccer Club. The mascot of the university is the Husky.
