Areas of Study

Virginia School of Massage offers 2 different programs related to the massage therapy industry. The first one, Professional Massage Therapy, can be taken in a variety of ways and at many different times, making the program very flexible. Students can choose from a 2 day, 3 day, 4 day, or a 4 night schedule, with the 4 day schedule leading to a graduation from the program within 7 months. The other program offered, Basic Skin Care Training, is offered in either a day or evening venue, with the day schedule leading to a graduation within 8 months. There are also many advanced courses available to those who want to continue their education after graduation.


The admission's process at Virginia School of Massage is simple, and requires only a phone call or a visit to the school's web site. Unlike some other school's, there are no strict requirements about past experience or schooling, only that the applicant be 18 years of age when applying. A visit to the web site will allow an applicant to the school to fill out a form to request additional information about the school, its' programs, and other important things such as financial aid options and accrediting. A phone call can also be made to the admission's department and an applicant can speak directly to an admission's specialist who will walk them through the rest of the process.


The faculty at Virginia School of Massage were all at one time, before they decided to become instructors, in the massage therapy business.
