West Virginia University Institute of Technology, also known as WVU Tech, is a four-year college located in Montgomery, West Virginia, United States. It was established in 1895 as a sub-college level Montgomery Preparatory School of WVU. After a few name and status changes, it was finally renamed as West Virginia University Institute of Technology in 1941. The main campus is spread across an area of 200 acres. WVU Tech offers bachelor's degrees in diverse areas of study. WVU Tech is organized into the following academic colleges:

  • College of Business, Humanities, and Sciences
  • Community and Technical College of WVU Tech
  • Leonard C. Nelson College of Engineering

WVU Tech's athletics department sponsors several men's and women's sports teams. They compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Mid-South Conference. The athletic teams are nicknamed as the Golden Bears.
